A number of objects which were used by members of different guilds - such as the Igbesanmwan, Igun-Ematon and the Igun-Eronmwon - to make objects are also part of museum collections today. Many of these are made from iron, illustrating the interconnected nature of palace guilds. From tongs to hammers and anvils, many of these items also became symbolic and various tools are seen within decorative motifs on other objects which in turn illustrated the powerful and high-ranking position of casters, represented through their tools, in Edo society.
