Richard Alfred Poer O’Shee was a member of the Royal Engineers and Special Service Officer during the British Military Campaign on Benin. Nothing is known about the loot he brought back from the colonial expedition (Hicks, 2020, 160[119]), except for a Okpia (Male Figure) in brass, offered to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) by Klaus & Dolly Perls.
