Cast copper alloy figure of an Oba on an iron rod sheathed in copper alloy. The figure dates to the early 18th century on the basis of the Oba’s costume. It was obtained by Marshall between 1894 and 1900, probably in Lagos. The connection to Benin City is unknown, but this is an example of Benin art.
