Rattle used in 'oromila' divination in Benin City. In form of Yoruba 'irofaor 'iroke' divination tappers with lower end holding a rattle and upper tip used to tap on divnaiton tray. ~William Fagg proposed that this rattle was carved by the Igbesamwan, the guild of ivory carvers in Benin City based on the style of the female figure and the conventional representations of leopard and Portuguese heads.~See Collection File: Af1972,43.1.
