Bell; lost-wax cast in brass. Quadrangular in form with strap handle. Decorated with stylised Portuguese head in low relief on front panel. Crotal clapper made of brass attached to top of bell with fibre cord.
Register 1954: 'Another [brass bell]: clapper formed by a crotal-bell attached by a piece of vegetable fibre. Three sides ornamented with engraved lattice design. A relief figure, derived from representation of Portuguese heads, on one side. Bell called ERO placed on ancestral altars. Nevins Collection.'
