This bell was previously in the collection of the Cranmore Ethnographical Museum established by Harry Geoffrey and Irene Marguerite Beasley in 1928. This bell was part of the donation made by Irene M. Beasley to the British Museum in 1944 when the whole Beasley collection was distributed following H. G. Beasley's death in 1939.
Bell; lost-wax cast in brass. Quadrangular in form with slightly flaring sides and strap handle. Decorated on front panel with human head in low relief surrounded by openwork lattice. Left and right panels have central mudfish with openwork lattice. Iron clapper suspended from hole at top.
