S. Strumpf was a merchant and agent for the trading company H. Bey & Co. in West Africa. He was probably active in the “Interior of Togo”. The first name of Strumpf does not appear in any of the historical documents available. He sold four objects from the Kingdom of Benin to the museum in 1903.
