Photograph (black and white), from an album; view of a group of men in a clearing with mature trees behind. Three men sit behind tables in centre of photograph. Man at right proper table wears brimmed hat and checked shirt; European man with moustache in centre wears pith helmet and buttoned jacket; man at left proper wears peaked cap and buttoned uniform jacket. Tables covered with dark-coloured cloths with papers on the central and left proper tables. Three seated chiefs at each side wear wrappers, shirts and hats. Standing male figures behind variously wear traditional clothing or military uniforms. Southern Nigeria Albumen print.

Curator's Comment/s
The chief sitting behind the desk at right proper is Paramount Chief Dore Numa. The photographs in collections Af,A46 and Af,A47 were originally icontained in single album containing 176 photographs.
