Photograph (black and white), from an album; view of a shrine within a thatched structure with white-washed ridged walls. Depicts group of compressed earth sculptures: central male figure in coral bead regalia with hands supported by male and female attendants. Smaller male figure stands in front. All attendant figures have painted body decoration. Two rib-necked pots, on either side of central figure; small female figures breast-feeding children in front. Leopard figure in adjacent shrine at right proper. Southern Nigeria Albumen print.
