Draft of letter from BG to Julian Spalding, Director of Glasgow Art Gallery and Museum making a formal request on behalf of the Oba of Benin for restitution of Benin artefacts in the centenary year: ‘The Royal Family of Benin has therefore authorised me to make such a formal request, and has asked me to draw an analogy with the recent return to Scotland of the Stone of Destiny’.
