Beskrivning - engelska
Letter to Lindblom. Beasley confirms the safe arrival of three Benin objects from Åke Sjögren (previously on deposition in the Stockholm museum) and that he previously sent a cheque for £80. Lindblom has marked in red pencil Beasley‘s remark that none of the three pieces were "outstanding". Beasley also mentions that the Seligmans have visited Lindblom in Stockholm, which most probably refers to anthropologists Charles and Brenda Seligman. The three Benin bronzes eventually made their way, via Beasley‘s widow, to the British Museum (two plaques, inv. no. Af1944,04.9; Af1944,04.8) and the Bristol Museum (inv. no. Ea7821) respectively.
