S. Strumpf was a merchant and agent for the trading company Bey & Co. in West Africa. He was probably active in the ‘Interior of Togo’. Strumpf’s name is associated with objects sold to the MARKK, Hamburg, and the Ethnologisches Museum, Berlin, between 1903 and 1904 (unfortunately his first name is not present in any of the associated documents).
