Description
Bruce Meade Hamilton served in Afghanistan (1879), the Boer War (1881; 1899–1902), Burma (1885) and Ashanti (1895) and participated in the British Military Campaign on Benin of 1897, commanding the advance guard of the Niger Coast Protectorate (Home, 1982, 127[126]; Rawson, 1897, 2519-21[129]).
